About Mina

Mina was born in Southern California in January 2014. From the very beginning, she was full of energy and determination—speaking at just 8 months old and walking by 11 months. As the youngest sibling, she spent a lot of time at the rink, tagging along while her brother and cousin played hockey. One day, she turned to her mom and asked, “Do I get to do it too?” That simple question started her own hockey journey. As a natural learner on ice, she went from learning to skate to playing competitive travel hockey in less than a year.

In 2022, Mina and her family moved to Dallas, TX, where she tried out for the Dallas Stars Elite (DSE) AAA Hockey Club—one of the top programs in the country. She earned a spot on the 2013 birth year team, even though she was born in 2014, making her both the youngest player and the only girl on the roster. The challenge only fueled her, and with the training and coaching at DSE, her game quickly reached a new level.

The summer of 2024 brought an unforgettable milestone: Mina was chosen to play for the Western Selects Brick team at the prestigious Brick Invitational Tournament in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Representing 13 states across the U.S. West region, she not only competed against some of the best young players in North America but also was the point leader of the team. Her performance earned her a spot in the USA vs. Canada all-star game, Brickley’s Showdown.

After that, Mina continued to play with her Dallas Stars Elite team as a first-line center and team leader. She’s loved the game, the friendships she’s made along the way, and the chance to keep learning and growing every time she stepped on the ice.

In 2026, inspired by friends and coaches, Mina and her family decided to move to Toronto to experience playing in the GTHL, and be immersed in the Canadian hockey culture learning from a whole new environment.
